A picture of suffering
Palitha Jayasekera will hold his sixth solo art exhibition from May 18 to 20 at the Lionel Wendt gallery.
Working as a Director of Aesthetics at the Ambalangoda zonal education office, Palitha has conducted many workshops for children from conflict areas in the country.
His work on Mahayana statues and paintings for the Myohoji peace pagoda in Ampara and Rumassala and the peace monuments at Ampara, Kuruwita and Habarana are well known.
His new exhibition is on the theme of the cruelty and suffering in society. |
