Leni Riefenstahl came to Sri Lanka

Asoka Weerakoon, in his letter commenting on Leni Riefenstahl, perhaps the most contentious documentary-maker of all time (The Sunday Times May 13), does not mention that she visited Sri Lanka in 1982, aged, 80 as a guest of the German Cultural Institute.

She met producers and directors at ITN. I believe an on-camera interview was carried out.
Perhaps, just perhaps, it might still exist, nestled away in the station's archives.
