Movies on miniscreen

The weekend 12.15 noon belt on Rupavahini channel is dedicated to telecast English and Sinahala family films throughout the month of June.

A series of English movies will be shown every Saturday at 12.15 pm with Sinhala films on Sunday on the 12. 15 pm belt. The English movies scheduled are 'Like Mike' (June 9), Little Heroes (June 16), Sleeping Bear (June 23) and 'Proud Man' (July 07).

The Sinhala films are 'Saranga' (June 3), 'Landuni Oba Devaganaki' (June 10), 'Menik Maliga' (June 17), 'Eka Diga Kathawak' (June 24) and 'Sthree' (July 1).

Meanwhile Sri Lanka Rupavahini Corporation (SLRC) has started a series of timely important programmes daily at 10.30 pm highlighting the development of morals, arts and culture, current affairs, and musical and dancing programmes. These programmes include 'Sudam Sabawa' (Monday), 'Ira Anduru Pata' (Tuesday), 'Kanisama' (Wednesday), 'Mathrubumi' (Thursday), 'Suramya Rathri' (Friday), 'Ananyathawaya' (Saturday) and 'Rupana' on Sunday.
