Entrepreneurship – a daunting challenge but worth it

Dr. Balasuriya emphasized the dominant role entrepreneurs can play towards a turnaround in the economy, through innovation and ability to succeed in competition.

The Chartered Institute of Marketing, Sri Lanka region recently hosted a presentation on “Marketers! Unleash Your Entrepreneurial Spirit” by Dr. Naomal Balasuriya.

“Hard work alone cannot place you in the limelight. It calls for much more to become a successful entrepreneur or to be recognized as an accomplished entrepreneur. It is a challenge worth daring,” he said.

Dr. Balasuriya emphasized the dominant role entrepreneurs can play towards a turnaround in the economy, through innovation and ability to succeed in competition. He further illustrated some of the critical entrepreneurial traits of some successful entrepreneurs of all time.

The speaker is the Chief Executive Officer of many entrepreneurial endeavours which include Company Doctors (Pvt) Ltd, Success Factory (Pvt) Ltd and Peace of Mind Residencies (Pvt) Ltd.
