'PRABHAKARAN' scares Colombo |

Last Wednesday afternoon the usually crowded Bambalapitya junction was scene of a bomb blast. People who had no clue of what was happening there panicked as the vehicles of the bomb squad and military vehicles had been rushed to the setting. Burnt and blasted vehicles too were placed around the vicinity. And the bloody scene too was set up resembling exactly a bomblast and people with their morbid interest gathered and were curiously trying to figure out as to what had happened. |

This special program is in connection with his 43rd Death Anniversary of who pioneered the 'Country Pop' medium from that old traditional Hillbilly style, thus earning the title 'The Greatest Sound in Country Music'. |

Play House invites young audience to the theatre |
Colombo Theatre Festival for Young Audience-2007 organised by the Lanka Children's and Youth Theatre Organisation or Play House-Kotte led by veteran actresses and playwrights will be held from August 9 to 12 at Lionel Wendt.
The festival titled ‘Theatre for Education and Reconciliation’ comprises Somalatha Subasinghe's ' Vikurthi', Priyantha Kaluaaracchchi's Me Heeneta namak Denna (Name This Dream), Pujitha de Mel's ‘Asinamali (Nothing to Lose) and Kaushalya Fernando's 'Sanda Langa Maranaya' (Blood Wedding). |
