Opening of Keells Super at Wijerama

It was February 11, 2007. There was a general excitement in our house because it was the day for the official opening of Keells Super at Wijerama. There were posters all over the place to advertise the opening.

We got an invitation and we too went there to witness the event. At the entrance was a person wearing the costume of a rabbit. The clowns who were there, shook hands and welcomed the visitors. It was crowded with kids as well as adults.

I interviewed a lady, who was painting on children's hands. She said, "I enjoy being with kids so I do the job happily." I got a spider painted while my brother wanted a bird on his hand.

Then I interviewed some kids. One said, "I came here to experience the fun." Another, Asel by name, said, "It's enjoyable to be here today. I love such things." For some this was their first ever experience. The kids said that they didn't think it would be so fun-filled.

We went in and bought some items. There were some promotional items too. We got a packet of meat balls and cans of cream soda free.

Outside a vehicle was parked, with 'Maggie', written all over. Hot, hot, mouth-watering Maggie noodles were served to all. Kids enjoyed the noodles and the occasion a lot.
