CEO Forum on IPR

The European Chamber of Commerce of Sri Lanka (ECCSL), together with the National Intellectual Property Office of Sri Lanka (NIPO), and the European Patent Organisation (EPO) is organising the first CEO Forum on ‘A concerted effort towards advancing IPR in Sri Lanka’. The Forum leads towards establishing the proposed IPR enforcement committee at national level.

The event will be held on October 8 in Colombo with H.R. Mithrapala, Minister of Consumer Services, in attendance along with the EC Ambassador Julian Wilson and US Ambassador Robert Blake. The technical sessions will be addressed by a well-known patent attorney Dr Karl Rackette - a professional representative before the European Patent Organisation, Dr D M Karunaratna - Director General of the National Intellectual Property Office in Sri Lanka, Dr Harsha Cabral – President’s Counsel, and John Wilson Jr – Attorney at Law.

The forum is targeted at leading IP practitioners, business leaders and professionals from related industries in Sri Lanka. The Sunday Times and Daily Mirror are the exclusive print media partners for the event.
