Angelo carries Seeduwa/Raddoluwa CC to safety

Angelo Perera carried Seeduwa/Raddoluwa CC to safety with an unbeaten 108 which had 15 hits to the ropes and thus helped his side to end on a respectable 232 on day one of their Under 23 encounter against Tamil Union played at the BRC grounds.

Angelo came into the crease when the side was struggling with six of their top order batsmen back in the pavilion with the score on 57. He was involved in two fruitful partnerships first for the seventh wicket of 74 with Saliya Tennekoon and the other of 60 with Romesh Eranga who made 14 for the ninth wicket.

Tamil Union in their turn were 30 for 1. The match will be continued at 10 00 a.m. today.
