Statue returned, but no festival

The statue of Our Lady of Madhu was returned to the Madhu Church yesterday, a source at the Mannar Bishop’s House said.

The statue removed in April was taken to the uncleared area before being returned to Bishop’s House in Mannar. Despite the return of the statue the annual festival will not be held.
