Cambrians Inter-Club Six a Side

The two day Cambrians inter-club six a side cricket tournament conducted by the Cambrian Cricket Wing for the third successive year got underway at the De Zoysa Stadium in Moratuwa yesterday.
The completion of the first and some of the second round matches saw five teams advance to the quarter finals. Bloomfield the defending champions kept alive their chances of retaining the title for yet another year.

The surprise of the first days proceeding was the elimination of Tamil Union by Singha SC which incidentally was the high scoring match of the day with Tamil Union making 80 and Singha SC reaching the target for the loss of two wickets.
