Mahinda dominate drawn game

Mahinda dominated their drawn Under 19 inter-school cricket encounter against Ananda concluded at Ananda Mawatha yesterday. A knock of 106 with nine boundaries and two sixes by Romesh Buddhika supported by a half ton from Kaushalya Gajasinghe was the highlight of the Mahinda innings.
Ananda 169 in 52.5 overs (Dinesh Chandimal 57, Prabodha Seneviratne 38, Sachin Udara 19, Milroy Janadhi 17: Romesh Buddhika 3 for 21, Nivrantha de Silva 3 for 33) and 204 for 1 in 44 overs (Udesh Nadiranga 47, Prabodha Seneviratne 87 n.o., Dinesh Chandimal 65 n.o.)

The Antonians scored their second win this season in as many matches by defeating Vidyartha by an innings and 33 runs in just 40 minutes after lunch at Katugastota yesterday.

Shot out for 92 in their first innings, in a comeback of sorts restricted the home team for 206.
