Madu Ganga is one of the natures fascinating creations off South West coast in Balapitiya. Madu Ganga is a lagoon with hundreds of islands providing an idyllic setting for a well spent holiday and loads of authentic traditional settings.

Maduganga Villa hotel complex, a popular holiday venue in the area is located on the banks of Mahaladuwa a large inhabited island on the Maduganga lagoon.

Maduganag Villa complex is named after the 150 years old bungalow, which is the centerpiece of the four other Villas. One of the Villas is a floating Villa, which is in demand with the honeymooners. Villas has two double rooms each and the old bungalow got tastefully renovated three 3 double rooms.

All rooms are well appointed and comfortable. The floating rooms are built on a raft on the river supported by the hulls of catamarans. These have an extravagant veranda where guests relax and watch cormorants fishing and villagers paddling past in small canoes.

The floating rooms have air-conditioning and television, attached shower rooms and seem more appropriate to a city hotel than a paradise at peace with nature. 'Maduganga Villa always help to make a visit an unforgettable experience. We offer natural charm of the Southern hospitality to our guests' said Samith Gamage, the Manager of the Villas.

Pleasantly lit garden abounding with careful tended medicinal and fruit trees and well laid out walkways provides a serene environment for individuals or large groups for an outing in comfort and privacy in a beautiful natural setting.

No sooner visitors fall under the garden's spell of rustic dignity and long to stay longer, which is what inspired the owner Chitrasena de Silva to add new accommodation when he bought and landscaped the property five years ago. For more details log on to www.madugangavilla.com
