Josh, two years old you are,
Time flew, and now you are there –
Standing tall, my boy he is;
On your cheek I place a kiss.
You and I, we’ve seen so much,
Doctors, nurses, hospitals and such;
But through it all you shone so bright,
From your eyes there sparked a light.
Full of life you’ve always been,
In you courage I have seen;
Through this journey we have gone
Hand in hand both far and long.
I still remember when you were small,
Akki standing by you, happy and tall,
You blanky, booties and even glove,
She helped me put with so much love.
You and she would always play,
So close you are, I always say,
Together you must always stand,
Even if on different land.
So my wish for you, my son,
Is that we three must stand as one,
Through everything, both said and done.
Of you I’m proud, my little son.
