Kingswood professionals' night 2008

'Kingswood Professionals Night', the annual dinner dance and the fellowship will come alive at the Trans Asia Hotel of Saturday, November 8 with popular dance bands ‘Gypsies’ and ‘Misty’.

'Kingswood Professionals Night' or the 'Pièce de résistance' is organized by the Colombo Branch of the Kingswood Union. This is a much talked about and sought after event among the membership where prestige, glamour and decorum are synonymous with the event since its inception in 2004. The programme usually attracts over 350 professionals and their spouses.

'The initial objectives of this programme were for Kingswoodians young and old to mix and mingle with each other with common ties that bind them to their 'Alma Mater' and form new relationships whilst strengthening existing ones. The entire proceeds thus going to various development projects and activities of Kingswood College' said a member from the organization committee.

'A significant difference to this year's programme is the initiative taken by the Kingswood Union to extend an invitation to the schools of the "Kandy Schools' Association" to join this event. Thus the foundation has been set to think out of the box from a 'Kingswood Family' perspective to a much wider 'Kandy Schools' Family' dimension. It is learnt that this suggestion has had a positive effect already from some of the schools and good participation is expected' he added.

The event will be compered by Faizal Bongso.
