Asian Aviation Centre (AAC), the premier Aeronautical Engineering Academy & Flying Training school in Sri Lanka will be conducting a special course for aviation enthusiasts from 15th to the 19th of December 2008. This is popularly known as the "Holiday course", as large number of students who want to pursue a career in aviation attend this programme to gain an insight to the aviation industry. It is also popular among the adult learners.
Topics such as Introduction to different types of aircrafts, Basics in theory of flight, Introduction to Airframes and Aircraft Systems, an introduction to Helicopters & Space Shuttles. In addition, AAC will also have practical demonstrations using their own fleet of training aircrafts and Engines. The programme will be held from 9.00am to 1.30pm daily at the AAC Engineering Academy premises at the Ratmalana Airport.
AAC will also be commencing their next Flying Student intake in January 2009. Students who wish to get trained as pilots and obtain Commercial Pilot Licence could do so by registering with AAC. Further more AAC conducts BEng (Hons) degree programmes & Higher National Diploma programs in Aero Space / Mechanical / Automotive Engineering. These degree programs are conducted in affiliation with the Kingston University of London. Further more, the AAC Engineering Academy offers Aircraft Maintenance Engineering programs with the approval of the Civil Aviation Authority of Sri Lanka.
