Popular dancer, dance instructor and choreographer Nilan Maligaspe launched his website www.nilandance.com last week.
Many of his friends and well-wishers participated in the event that coincided with Nilan’s 25th year in the dance and arts scene and the 16th anniversary of his dancing school ‘Narthana Sewana’.
Nilan started his popular dance troupe ‘Arpeggio’ two decades ago along with some of his faithful pupils. A bench mark of his life was the establishment of the Arpeggio Dancing Academy in 1992 with only four students, which later transformed into a fully fledged dancing school ‘Narthana Sewana’.
However Nilan is a talented Ballet Dancer who had been well trained in Russian Ballet dancing. He is good at adopting our indigenous Drama acts called ‘Street Drama’ into a novelty dance acts.
