Religious blessings for AG’s Dept.

A series of religious ceremonies have been organized by the Attorney General’s Department to commemorate its 125th anniversary.

The Islamic religious ceremony will be held on April 1, at 2.45 p.m. at the Auditorium of the AG’s Department. This would be followed by the Hindu religious ceremony on April 2, at 2.30 p.m. at the same venue. The chief priest of Veera Amman Kovil, Kotahena is expected to invoke blessings at this ceremony.

The Buddhist ceremony took place on March 20, with the Pirith Ceremony conducted by Ven. Galaboda Gnanissara Thera, chief incumbent of the Hunupitiya Gangarama.

This event was attended by many non Buddhists. A special Thanks Giving service was held on March 27, with the initiation of Rev Fr. Noel Dias and Rev. Dulip Fernando.
