Members of FlySmiLes; SriLankan Airlines’ customer loyalty programme can now enjoy the elegant Serendib Lounge at the Bandaranaike International Airport in Katunayake, the airline said this week.
The Serendib Lounge which was initially reserved for SriLankan’s Business Class passengers is now accessible to members of FlySmiLes who travel in Economy Class on SriLankan, the airline statement said. “The lounge is also open to those who are in transit, and members need only redeem a mere 2000 miles to gain access,” it said.
The Serendib lounge provides a panoramic view of the airport's apron, with a floor to ceiling viewing glass. It has a separate rest area with a fully reclining lazy boy armchair for passengers with longer transit times, showers, general seating, and a separate smokers’ room.
