Veteran singer and musician, Noel Ranasinghe who is popularly known as the ‘King of Calypso’ has just released his latest album ‘Strike Rich’ to celebrate his golden jubilee in music.
The collection released in cassettes and CDs, is completely different from his earlier releases and it includes 18 instrumentals of Kaffringna, Latin American and country styles done on the guitar and the banjo.
Released to mark 50th year in music scene, ‘Strike Rich’ is a first of its kind and must for all the lovers of instrumental.
“I wanted to present an album for all collectors of music and is a souvenir meant for easy listening pleasure,” said Noel who introduced popular music styles along with a number of well-known artistes to the industry.
