Insurance Board seeks new DG

The Insurance Board of Sri Lanka (IBSL) this week advertised for a new Director General (DG) although its current DG Lasinee Seresinhe has not resigned or expressed an intention to do so, informed sources said.

The advertisement appeared in most national dailies. Ms Seresinhe was unavailable for contact. However some IBSL sources said that Ms Seresinhe is due for retirement. Udayasri Kariyawasam is the Chairman of IBSL while the director-board comprises Dr. R.H.S Samaratunga, Channa de Silva, Gratian Gunawardana, U.S. Abeyratne and Dr. Uthum Herat.
