Dulanjana Karunatileke

He was invited by G.Y.L.C. U.S.A for his excellent performances in the SATS and TOEFLE Examinations. On his arrival in the country and on the conclusion of his O/Levels he was awarded a full scholarship to the British School in Colombo to further his London A/Levels. He excelled in his studies and took the school by a storm in a matter of two years when he was best achiever, best performer and was also privileged to achieve the best results in the year 2005 at the London A/ levels.

Whilst pursuing his education at the British School he once again represented his motherland at the 45th Mathematical Olympiad held in Athens, Greece in July 2004. He was picked from among the students of the schools in the entire Island. The I.M.O. was conducted by the University of Colombo, Mathematics Faculty. With his continued success in the academic field the National University of Singapore absorbed/invited him on his pending London A/Level results and offered him a full scholarship to the University.

Even though he was offered the only Commonwealth Scholarship to Great Britain to read for a Degree in Aeronautical Engineering, he opted for Singapore since it was a better option and closer to his motherland. He left the shores of Sri Lanka in July 2005 to commence his Degree in Engineering. Within one year of study at the University his performance was par excellence and he managed to get in to the Deans' list. In July 2009 he graduated with Honours as an Electrical and Electronic Engineer from the National University of Singapore. Dulanjana hopes to continue his studies moving on to his Masters in the near future.

Dulanjana is the eldest son of the late Mr. Ajith Karunatileke and Mrs Arlene Karunatileke and the elder brother of Dilukshan Karunatileke (undergraduate Bachelor of Engineering) University of Monash.
