The second stage of the Nestomalt mini-marathon organized by the Athlletics Association of Sri Lanka with the support of the Police and the Education Department is scheduled to be conducted in Ampara today.
The Nestomalt marathon sponsored by Nestle Lanka Ltd began with the first stage which was held in Anuradhapura last week with over 500 participants taking part.
The second stage of the Nestomalt marathon has also attracted over 500 entries. The marathon is being conducted in two categories with the open being run over 16kms and the schools category over 10kms.
Both the categories will be flagged off opposite the Public grounds in Ampara at 7.00 a.m. Winners in both the open and schools marathon will be awarded trophies and cash awards.
