A Board Member of the Network for the Promotion of Asian Cinema (NETPAC) and the General Secretary of the Asian Film Centre, Ranjanee served as the Chairperson of the NETPAC Jury.
Presented by the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) and the Federation of National Film Associations of Thailand, the foremost film event in South East Asia was held from 24 to 30 September.
The associate editor of Cinesith (quarterly film journal), editor of the Sri Lankan Film Annual, authors of ‘The Cinema of Adoor Gopalakrishnan’ and publisher of the book ‘LJP- Lester James Peries’ Life and Work’, Ranjanee has earlier participated in several FIPRESCI, FICC and NETPAC juries such as Locarno, Vesoul, Pusan, Brisbane, Bangladesh, Bangkok and Kerala etc.
The Network for the Promotion of Asian Cinema (NETPAC) is a worldwide organization of 29 member countries. It was created as the result of a conference on Asian cinema organized by Cinemaya, the Asian Film Quarterly, in New Delhi in 1990 at the instance and with the support of UNESCO, Paris. |
