IELTS stands for International English Language Testing System and it is designed to assess the language ability of candidates who need to study or work where English is used as the language of communication. IELTS is accepted by British, Australian, Canadian, New Zealand and most American educational institutions for admissions and also it is used by many professional bodies and immigration services. It is also used for recruitment purposes by public and private organizations in many countries. This exam is not recommended for candidates under the age of 16.

IIHS (International Institute of Health Sciences) is established in Wattala, Welisara is a pioneering health care institute with modern state of art facilities. At the centre of the campus stands a 100 year old heritage building which functions as the College House. IIHS has recently started an IELTS preparatory course which has produced great results throughout the period of operations.
