The Sri Lanka Institute of Directors (SLID) is introducing ‘Corporate Stewardship and Board Room Governance’ program as an initial step towards achieving higher standards of excellence in the future.
In a press release, SLID stated that the rapid growth of economic activity across the world and recent financial shenanigans, both locally and abroad, have brought into sharp focus the need for good governance in the private and public sectors.
SLID President Mahen Dayananda stated in the press release that the SLID members and all those in the corporate sector will benefit tremendously through participation in the program.
The press release further stated the program will comprise 6 modules and will be conducted over 11 months. Each module, based on an interactive format, will take approximately 150 minutes and is crafted in a unique manner that will provide maximum value to those participating. The modules will feature between 5 to 8 resource personnel drawn from a pool of senior professionals. |
