Wayward bus injures three students

At least three students were injured when a bus swerved off the road, hit a power line post and then crashed into a packed wayside tuition class at Hokandara early this yesterday.

The injured students were rushed to the Kalubowila hospital and the driver was arrested, police spokesperson I. Karunaratne said.

Initial investigations have revealed that the accident may have been caused due faulty brakes of the bus, police said.
