Theyaga Sewwandi, a student of Pithikuliya MMV, suffering from a multiple deficiency syndrome condition is presently sitting the GCE O/L exam answering her papers sprawled on a mat placed in the examination hall.

Her mother was her teacher from grade one to grade six. Pictures show Theyaga answering a question paper and her mother escorting her to school.
