The national volleyball championship conducted by the Sri Lanka Volleyball Federation (SLVF) is scheduled to be held from January 16 next year. Ceylon Biscuits Ltd has come forward once again to sponsor the championship which is played under the flagship of Munchee.

This will be the fourth successive time that CBL will be sponsoring this championship which has since become popular. Dilan Perera President of SLVF said: “We are expecting over 4000 teams to participate this time too.” The championship has been planned to be conducted in three stages. The first stage will be the electoral/zonal level which is scheduled to get underway on January 16 and will end on January 31. The entries for the championship should be sent on or before January 9 addressed to the secretary of SLVF, 02 Reid Avenue Colombo 7. - MSA
