Guns and Roses in India -Reader Forum

I am penning these few lines as I am perturbed over the huge defeats Sri Lanka cricketers have suffered and the comments in your popular ‘Sunday Musings’.

True Sri Lanka lost badly and those to be blamed are the management as they had picked a team with a few veterans. I really do not care whether Sri Lanka wins or lose but we should put up a brave show and go down fighting. It is easy to say but we are facing the might of Indian cricket on their own soil backed by the vociferous support of the hugely partisan crowd. In the first ODI Sri Lanka scored a mammoth 411 and even then lost the game.

It was a poor show by our tail-enders who have to learn a lot to become good cricketers. Our lads did well – win or lose. Keep it up!
