Old Rajans scored a close 16 runs win over Saracens SC in at Inter-Club tournament match played at the Police Grounds in Kandy.
Rukchan Suriyaarachchi (4x5, 6x2) scored in the match with a powerful innings of 65. Off spinner Pratap Silva (4 for 43) kept the Saracens batsmen in check.
Kithsiri Subasinghe (4 for 20 in 9.2 overs) and Sunimal Dissanayake (44 and 2 wickets) were the pick of the Saracens players.
Sixes abounded as the losers hit nine sixes to the winners four. Saracens had a better run-rate but didn’t go the distance.
