A project launched recently under the purview of Sri Lanka's Industrial Services Bureau (ISB) has introduced computer-based accounting and business education to 30 small scale businesses in remote villages in Kurunegala, Dambulla and Tambuttegama, according to the country’s Information and Communication Technology Agency.
Targetted at small businesses who already have access to a computer, the project has thus far, as part of its first phase, provided software that will allow the "computerisation of business accounting activities" as well as accounting, taxation and businss communications courses. More information about the project can be accessed at ISB website www.isb.lk. |
