Graduation ceremonies are events organized to congratulate and admire the academic achievements of students. This is the day in which all the hard work of students, in the silence of nights, their hassles on rush working days to attend an evening lecture and their sacrifices on achieving the dreams of life are rewarded. Therefore, this day is a milestone in the academic career of any student and perhaps a testament for their potential to proceed towards academic and professional excellence.
As a reputable private educational institution in the island, Singapore Informatics feels proud to produce a significant amount of graduates each year, which will most definitely contribute towards the industrial and economic development of the country. Our graduates are armed with the power of critical thinking to solve the most difficult challenges posed by the ever evolving knowledge economy. Being a pioneer in the country's educational growth, Singapore Informatics has also produced a certain number of world best students among the eighty eight centres of Informatics Academy of Singapore, located across the Asia Pacific region. Evidently, three students of Singapore Informatics namely, Ashana Hapuarachchi, Achini Madushika, and Tyrone Thomas have won the most recent world prizes for 2009.
All the diplomas and advanced diplomas offered by Singapore Informatics are validated by National Computing Centre (NCC), UK, which is a reputed secondary education provider in UK and enjoy affiliation with a plethora of universities across entire Europe. All the final year degree programmes offered by Singapore Informatics are validated and offered by prestigious British universities, which are subjected to annual quality audits by the Quality Assurance Agency (QAA) of UK. Additionally, all Singapore Informatics programmes are subjected to annual quality audits by the partner universities and Higher Education Institutions (HEI). University of Portsmouth - being one of the main partner institutions of Informatics Academy, maintains an international reputation for its teaching and research excellence in the fields of computing, mathematics and cosmology. It is remarkable that the University of Portsmouth is a member institution of the Association of Commonwealth Universities (ACU). As a matter of fact, all the member institutions of Association of Commonwealth Universities (ACU) are recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) of Sri Lanka.
In addition to this, the Singapore Informatics degree programme opens up a gateway to the professional world, for students with the completion of their first or second year. Informatics alumni has a proven track record of professional excellence throughout several industries, especially, Informatics alumnus being identified as outstanding and well performing in their workplaces. Singapore informatics proudly owns its alumnus working as senior managers and executives in leading multinational corporations in Sri Lanka and abroad.
Moreover, the virtual leaning environment and online learning management system of our institute allows students to read for a British degree programme taught by an overseas professor, while living with their families. As a result of its inherent 'remoteness' the virtual learning environment imparts independence and self - reliance on students, which will stand as a unique advantage for students when they are facing the professional world with all its complexities.
