The applications are called for SIGNIS (OCIC/UNDA) cinema and teledrama salutation 2008/ 2009 which is scheduled to be held on December this year.
All Sinahala films produced and screened in the year 2008/2009 together with serialized Sinhala teledramas not exceeding to 52 parts are eligible for the festival, said National Director of SIGNIS Sri Lanka, Rev. Fr. Benedict Joseph.
One episode teledramas or mega teledramas will not be accepted for the competition.
All directors and producers are requested to sent their creations in DVD format before June 30 to the address SIGNIS (OCIC?UNDA) Office Sri Lanka, No 19, Balcome Place, Cotta Road, Borellla, Colombo 8.
Felicitating the talents in the cinema and the small screen, the SIGNIS Salutation was organized by SIGNIS (World Catholic Association for Communication) Sri Lanka affiliated to the Catholic National Commission for Social Communication. It is a non-profit organization with representation from over 140 countries. SIGNIS is a Roman Catholic lay ecclesial movement for professionals in the communication media, including radio, television, cinema, video, media education, Internet and new technology and was formed in November 2001 by the merger of the International Catholic Organization for Cinema and Audiovisual (OCIC) and the International Catholic Association for Radio and Television (UNDA). |
