The British Council’s next Book Buzz on August 28 at 5 p.m. at the British Council hall will feature Gratiaen Award winner 2010, Prashani Rambukwella, author of the children’s book “Mythil’s Secret”.
While this book buzz is mainly aimed at children aged 7 to 15, adults, parents and those interested in creative writing are welcome.
This opportunity to interact with Prashani Rambukwella is a part of the British Council’s animated literature programme where they bring the work of contemporary UK and Sri Lankan writers to life.
Prashani graduated with a B.A. in English Literature from the University of Peradeniya, where she was known as a playwright and director.
Two of her plays, “Things that Matter” and “Light Bulb” were performed on stage at inter-university drama festivals. She also won the best director award for two consecutive years at the annual drama competition of the University of Peradeniya.
The event is free-of-charge, but seats are limited, and will be granted on a first-come first-served basis. |
