'Excon 2010'- organized by the Chamber of Construction Industry for the second consecutive year, will be held from September 10-12 at the Sirimavo Bandaranaike Memorial Exhibition Centre. According to a statement the International Construction Expo is designed to enhance the competitiveness of the local construction industry.
The exhibition will provide those in the domestic construction industry with a platform to display their capabilities to a wider forum while facilitating opportunities for contacts to be established among other stakeholders in the industry locally and overseas.
This trade fair also aims to promote cost effective and alternate building technologies while serving as a forum to identify opportunities and challenges that would be generated for the industry as a result of the reconstruction efforts in the North and the East, the statement said.
This year's trade fair will see over 250 trade stallholders, and a 'Water Expo' comprising over 30 Indian companies attached to the water sector will be featured along with a one day forum on investment promotion for infrastructure development have also been planned. |
