Defence Services Games Ceremonially Opened

The Sixth Defence Services Games was ceremonially declared open by the Chief of Defence Staff, Commander of the Air force and the President of Defence Services Sports Board, Air Chief Marshal Roshan Goonetilleke at the Sugathadasa Stadium.

The sportsmen and women of the Army, Navy and Air Force compete for supremacy in twenty seven disciplines with participation of more than 1200 tri services competitors. This annual event was won by the Sri Lanka Air Force in 2009.
