Another ex-official who was witnessing the scene from the side lines had quipped: “It looks as if that chap is currying favour to be in the team after all.

The reason being that this official has not been following procedures where visas to this country are concerned is given and so the visa officials have come down hard on this poor guy. The rest have been given the necessary visas and a big contingent, including parents, are now getting ready to fly abroad for this board game.

Serving tea his only qualification

A lad who served tea to a big wig in a leading sport is now the big man at school level drawing a salary in the region of Rs. 70,000 a month plus perks. Costly sum

Sooriaweva is on the lips of everybody these days. Recently a whole lot of journalists were taken to show them how the project is taking shape to stage the fast approaching World Cup in 2011.The fact is that even though the body that governs it has a media unit of its own, another unit has been given the rights to popularize the project and at a costly sum at that!.

Dark glasses at work

The person who wears dark glasses even in the night was in the news down South recently. This chap, who was a no body in the scene, is now figuring even bigger than the Big Man himself. This dark glasses guy had stormed into the hotel at 2 am demanding food was told that there was no food at that time. ‘Dark glasses’ had insisted for his meals stating that the hotel’s bill will also not be paid if he was not served. Hurriedly cooks had started their work in the wee hours to fill this chap’s tummy.
