Gateway Graduate School, part of the well-known Gateway educational organisation, celebrated its first convocation in the prestigious premises of the Central Bank auditorium. Students were presented with B.Sc Honours Degrees in Business Computing and Information Systems from the University of Wales and Diplomas and Advanced Diplomas from NCC Education (United Kingdom).

The Chief Guest and presenter Professor Felix Stravens, Managing Director of NCC Education congratulated the Graduates and members of the Faculty for their outstanding achievements. THREE Global High Achievers and THREE Regional High Achievers were presented with their certificates. Of the first batch of 11 graduates, TWO gained FIRST CLASS HONOURS and another FOUR gained UPPER SECOND CLASS HONOURS, confirming the high standards of the Graduate School. A video message was played from the Vice-Chancellor of the University, Professor Marc Clement.
NCC Education UK presented a scholarship for the Final Year Study to Janak Bovinda Karannagoda. Prof. Dayantha Wijeyesekera Prize for the Best All Round Student at Gateway Graduate School for Academic Year 2009/2010 was presented by the Governor himself to Mohamed Sajjaad Ramzey. |
