The Lyceum Group of International Schools is the result of a dream of Mr. Mohan Lal Grero who had always wished to share the immense academic and moral benefits of education with all those who needed it the most.

The school's story began 17 years ago with 7 students and 4 teachers. Today this very school has expanded adequately enough to include areas outside the city of Colombo. Including the Parent School in Nugegoda there are 6 schools in all at Wattala, Kandana, Panadura, Gampaha and Ratnapura, with a student population of 12,500 and 1800 staff.

By combining sporting activities with the academic achievement, Lyceum fortifies its students to encounter the world with courage and determination. To facilitate this aspect there are more than 30 indoor and outdoor extra curricular activities.

The academic excellence, discipline and a strict adherence to a moral and ethical code forms the backbone of Lyceum. The Lyceum International School has performed well throughout these years and has excelled this year at the Cambridge International Examinations (O/L and A/L) 2010 with a World Winner, a number of Sri Lanka Best Winners and High Achievers. We are proud of our teachers who are born to teach and our students who will be the ambassadors of tomorrow.
