A Criuse Ship containing 628 tourists berthed at Colombo harbour last week. Tourists from various countries including America, England, NewZealand,Switzerland and Australia were on board when the ship arrived to Sri Lanka.
The luxury carrier ‘NAUTICA ‘ owned by American based company Oceania Cruises contains 750 comfortable rooms with other facilities such as Conference rooms, swimming pools, golf courts etc. and many other state -of- art conveniences for the passengers.
The Vessel had started sailing from South Africa on 11th December last month. It was in Maldives Islands before arriving to Sri Lanka and its next destination will be Myanmar.
The vessel was welcomed by the senior officials of Sri Lanka Tourism at the Colombo harbour. Dr. Nalaka Godahewa – Chairman of Sri Lanka Tourism , Captain Ravi Jayawickrama – Harbour Masters of SLPA (Sri Lanka Ports Authority) and the Actg. Managing Director - Mr. Malraj Kiriella were among the welcoming team .
