The Swiss Federal Office for Migration (BFM) has declared that the security situation in Sri Lanka has “clearly eased " - including the long time embattled North and East, a local newspaper in Switzerland has reported.
The move will have an impact on the applicants who have sought asylum, the Swiss news paper, "Blick am Abend" said recently.
“Starting from June the BFM will examine the status of provisionally accepted refugees from Sri Lanka. Approximately 4,500 refugees would be affected. From these affected refugees, those who originate from the former LTTE controlled Wanni area and who have no relations outside that region, would be excluded,” the newspaper said. |
