At the end of the tenth count of the Allisland contest Royalist Ramith Rambukwella who made an attractive half century following his blazing century at the last year’s big one is still in the lead with Thurstanite Supun Navaratne in constant pursuit.
At the end of this count, Navaratne has polled 4836 votes against Rambukwella’s total of 8440 votes.
In the emerging Schools’ contest Panadura’s Royal clash continues with Kavindu Ashan Perera managing to hold on to his lead against his team mate Charitha Ruchiranga. At the end of this count, Perera has a total of 825 votes while Ruchiranga has 760.
Making this category more interesting the other four contestants are also from two schools. In the third place is A. Dilshan Sanjeewa of St. Servatius Matara along with his team mate Sanjika Ridma who is in the sixth place while in the Kalhara Peiris of Moratu Maha Vidyalaya at the fourth place has paired off with his team mate Sanka Abeyruwan who occupies the fifth position.
In the international Schools Contest Gavitha Wickremasinghe of Lyceum International has wrested the initiative once again and is in the lead with 293 votes against his rival’s total of 183
