The maiden cric teaser 2011 ends on high note

The Cricket fever which was spreading very fast in this part of the world ended with the conclusion of the ICC Cricket World Cup Final. Further to it the maiden Cric Teaser 2011 organized by Global Talent Coach & Consultants (Pvt) Ltd. also ended on a very high note on the April 9 at the Sasakawa Auditorium with colour and glamour. This was virtually the first of its kind table quiz based on a wide spectrum of knowledge on the game of cricket. This marvelous game with innumerable records is considered as a religion in this part of the world which is being revered by millions of fans.

The Education Times was the exclusive media partner and played a pivotal role in taking the event to every nook and corner through the print media. Further Sri Lanka Institute of Marketing (SLIM) Australian College of Business & Technology (ACBT), Astron Ltd and Supermax Shaving Products came forward very generously as the sponsors. JCI Sri Lanka Colombo partnered the event and Clasp Print & Graphics were sponsors as well.

The quiz master was Jagath Peiris the Director, Global Talent Coach & Consultants (Pvt) Ltd, who has been a versatile character with the brain behind this competition while Bhathiya Hettiarachchi was the Master of Ceremonies of the Cric Teaser 2011.

In the form of a Table Quiz with four members in a team which was very closely contested with 4 rounds. The teams had to answer 50 questions in different aspects covering only Cricket and the enthusiasm among the contestants had been fantastic through the competition.

The Brain Stormers representing ET Club team emerged as Champions while Individual Group led by Srimal Rathnasinghe came second with Dialog team "B" securing third place while Cricket Minds from the University of Moratuwa was placed fourth and they walked away with Rs-40,000/- 30,000/- 20,000/- and 10,000/- respectively with the trophies.

To encourage school children a special trophy and tokens were given to the school which scored the highest number of points and Royal College walked away with it. Kalum Disnaka Head of Human Resources at Suntel was the Chief Guest while Sujith Bandulahewa the Marketing Manager of Sunday Education Times was the Guest of Honour.

The Cric Teaser 2011 ended with glamour and grandeur with lots of hype and inspirations created for the events of this nature.
