Buddha said life is a journey and showed a way of passage,
Pursue Nirwana with
determination and so end the voyage.
The journey to Nirwana is
salutary but wisdom and
determination provides the
carriage,
Nirwana is the eternal bliss of non existence which Vesak brings as a message.
Buddha said one’s right to live should not hinder another’s right to live,
Think not to take but to always give,
On another’s belongings one should not thrive,
Dispel greed as it is the ideal way to live.
Buddha said with men of
wisdom peace prevail,
Four supreme elements to this entail,
Compassion, love, kindness and forgiveness tell the tale,
Their absence in man is why peace fail.
