Mr. Rehan Razeen, a professional hotelier, counts over 24 years in the hospitality industry having gained most of his management experience in tourism by serving for Amaya Hills, Kandy has been appointed Resident Manager of the property.
He is a member of the Institute of Hospitality, UK (formerly HCIMA) and a member of the Educational Institute of American Hotel and Motel Association, U.S.A.
An old boy of S. Thomas College, Mount Lavinia, Rehan professional studies as an Entry Level Trainer and obtained the Tourism Training Certificate recognized by the Institute of Hospitality at the Ceylon Hotel School with a specification in Food & Beverage operations.
After that, he obtained a Diploma from Swiss Asian School of Hotel Management and Tourism, Sri Lanka and a Diploma in Food & Beverage Management from the Institute of American Hotel & Motel Association. U.S.A.
He entered into the field of hospitality by joining the Palm Garden Hotel, Beruwela as a Trainee Steward in 1987. After that with the wealth of experience behind him having held the positions of Restaurant & Bar Manager at Peacock Beach Hotel, Hambantota, Assistant Restaurant Manager at Mountlavinia Hotel till the year 1996 and that experience promoted him to work in Saudi Arabia as a Restaurant Manager at Le Gulf Meredien, Al Khobar.
Back in Sri Lanka in 2000, he accepted the responsibilities as the Food & Beverage Manager at Peacock Beach Hotel, Hambantota and in 2002 joined as the Banquet Operations Manager at Ceylon Continental Hotel, Colombo.
In 2003, he assumed duties with full responsibility as the Head of the Department, Manager – Food & Beverage / ‘Le Garage’ Discotheque at Amaya Hills, Kandy.
He proved his talents by undertaking all the responsibilities of managing and planning and was promoted to the position of Assistant Manager of the hotel in 2008. |
