A group of 120 Indian politicians arrived in Colombo on a pilgrimage following the Ramayana Trail, a popular tour among most tourists from the subcontinent. This is the third year in which a similar group arrived in the country with Bernard Tours and Travels that hosted the VVIP travellers on their 8-day pilgrimage.

At the press conference

Further he said as part of promoting the tour among travellers from Madhya Pradesh, its government will be providing a 50% subsidy to tourists coming here on the Ramayana Trail.

During their tour, the tourists will be visiting over 16 legendary sites out of 52 which has been identified in connection with the Rama-Sita-Ravana epic. This tour has been organized in collaboration with Awesome Holidays of India and the Ashok Vatika Dharshan Yatra Samiti of New Delhi that is linked with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).
