Ford today announced the appointment of Future Automobiles as the exclusive Ford Dealer in Sri Lanka. This announcement is concurrent with the introduction of five class-leading models into the Sri Lankan market to reinforce Ford's financial and commercial commitment into the region.
The award-winning models of the Everest, Focus, Ranger, Fiesta and Figo will offer something unique to the growing demands of the Sri Lankan consumer and cater for a variety of needs.
"We are excited to partner Future Automobiles with Ford's product line up in Sri Lanka. This combination will provide Sri Lankans with the highest level of customer service and excellent vehicle quality," said David Westerman, Regional Manager - Asia Pacific, Ford Export Operations.
"Ford recognizes Sri Lanka as a driving force behind recent growth seen in the South East Asian Market. Today's Grand Opening in Colombo is an indication of Ford's commitment to the next stage of Sri Lanka's development. Our aim here is to offer the most innovative and class-leading vehicles available in the market," continued Westerman.
Ford has developed a successful partnership with Future Automobiles PVT Limited. Together they are able to promote their most popular and exciting line-up of vehicles.
As the authorized Ford dealer for Sri Lanka, Future Automobiles has an ambitious goal to become one of the top three car companies in the country within its first three years of operation. Future Automobiles, a 100 percent owned subsidiary of Softlogic Future Holdings Ltd, has plans to build a truly world-class new Ford showroom and service facility in Colombo within the next 12 months.
The new multi-million dollar ($US) facility will boast '3S services' (Sales, Services, Spare Parts) with state-of-the-art facilities that are in line with Ford's global standards.
"We want to show our commitment to the Ford Motor Company and Sri Lanka by establishing ourselves as a leading automotive distributor. We aim to set the highest standard in the market for sales, service and unparalleled customer satisfaction," stated Mr. Ashok Pathirage, Chairman and Managing Director of Softlogic Holdings Ltd.
Over the coming years Ford aims to raise their profile and attract customers through more global products and services on offer in Sri Lanka. The launch of the all-new Figo will be introduced later this year and is a prime example of Ford's commitment to the Sri Lankan market.
To demonstrate further investment in the region, the Ford Motor Company Conservation and Environmental Grants programme will make a total of $15,000 (US) available to individuals, communities and non-profit groups that have projects currently running in the areas of natural environment preservation, environmental education and conservation engineering.
"Henry Ford believed in the obligation of companies, not only to create good products for their customers, but also to share good works and goodwill and that is precisely what we are aiming to achieve with the Conservation & Environmental Grants as we give back to our local communities," concluded Westerman.
The 'Grand Opening' is an opportunity for Ford to connect with their customers to better understand their needs. Customer feedback in particular is highly valued and ensures Ford can continue to deliver the right product designs to meet business expectations.Future Automobiles plans to further cater to their customer demands by offering a unique range of specialized Ford vehicle modifications.
Future Automobiles has partnered with GFS Automotive, a converter/modifier of purpose built derivatives of Ford vehicles designed for Ambulances, Rescue, Cash in Transit, De-mining, and Luxury Armored Vehicles. They are the only Ford Motor Company "Qualified Vehicle Modifier" (QVM) programme participant in the Asia-Pacific region. |
