New postings at Police Department

The Defence Ministry has approved several new postings and transfers in the Police Department with effect from 23.6.2011.

DIG T. K. P. de Silva will serve in Vavuniya and Mannar to be based in Vavuniya, DIG W. Abeynayake will serve at Badulla and Moneragala to be based at Badulla while DIG J. Kulathilaka DIG Criminal Investigations Department will act as DIG Police Narcotics Bureau in addition to his present assignment.

DIG R. W. M. C. Ranawana is Commandant of the Special Task Force, DIG M.K.D. W. Amarasinghe is DIG Training, Police Academy, Discipline and Conduct and Police Headquarters, DIG Gamini Dissanayake is Galle District DIG and will overlook Matara and Hambantota districts and be based in Galle, DIG A. R. Waidyalankara is DIG Trincomalee district, DIG N. D. Daluwatta is DIG Kilinochchi and Mullaitivu based in Kilinochchi, DIG D. L. S. G. L. Peiris is DIG Crimes, DIG L. A. Jayasinghe is DIG Personnel, Recruitment, Examinations and Ministerial Security Division, DIG L.L.C. Perera is DIG Welfare, DIG W. U. F. Fernando is DIG Ratnapura and Kegalle to be based at Ratnapura
DIG S.A. T.D. N Wijegunawardene is DIG Batticaloa and Acting DIG Ampara district in addition to his present assignment.
