It’s a show aimed at both male and female models and designers, creating clothes for both men and women. Model and Designer of the Year 20Eleven conceptualized by Lou Ching Wong will be held on November 17, in just a month from now.
Last week it was time for the preliminaries and a bevy of enthusiastic young people were put through their paces, facing interviews and showing their sample work to the panel of judges.
Young designers and models have few opportunities to present their work on the catwalk and it was with the aim of giving them that chance to be seen and noticed that veteran designer Lou Ching Wong planned the show.
He is supported by the Galadari Hotel, Fashion Fabrics, Ramani Fernando Salons and Rumours. Lou Ching himself will guide them in design and production techniques and the models will also receive a comprehensive training on the catwalk. |
