Tiger Airways, one of Asia’s leading low-cost carriers, has announced the introduction of services between Colombo and Singapore from May 31 onwards.
Colombo is Tiger Airways’ first destination in Sri Lanka, and its seventh in its growing network of destinations in South Asia. Tiger Airways will be the first regional low-cost carrier to fly direct from Colombo to Singapore, the airline said.
Stewart Adams, Managing Director of Tiger Airways Singapore said, “We are pleased to announce the launch of our direct flights between Colombo and Singapore. This marks the launch of our second new route since the beginning of this year, and is part of our ongoing push to expand our network and paw print in the region.”
He said the direct service to Singapore will provide Sri Lankans with the opportunity to explore the best that Singapore has to offer – from the variety of shopping and dining options to experiencing Hollywood at Universal Studios, without having to even step out of Asia.
The statement said tickets are now available at a special promotional fare with limited seats at a first-come-first served basis. Tiger Airways will fly three times a week to Singapore when the service commences – on Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday. |
